The West Side Middle School MUSIC DEPARTMENT STAFF is dedicated to bringing your children an education in music that hopefully will be a life-long experience. Whether your child is involved in a performing group, or attends Music Appreciation class, he or she will experience our commitment to excellence in music education.

is the 6th, 7th & 8th Grade
Chorus Director at West Side Middle School. The Chorus will participate
in this year’s Winter and Spring Concerts. Mr. Nickolloff also teaches
vocal music in his Music Education classes of all grades.Mr. Nickolloff also participates in the CMEA Music Festival, where select vocal students perform in the southern region chorus, putting on a tremendous concert with some of the most talented 6th, 7th and 8th graders of Southern Connecticut. Mr. Wilkas
is the Band Director at West Side Middle School. There are now
approximately 60 proud band members who will participate
in this year’s concerts and parades.
Mr.
Wilkas also teaches preparatory band classes, where your children
have the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument. Those
students have the chance to advance their
instrumental skills to eventually become part of the concert and marching band.
